You won't need a time machine to enjoy an added benefit of our 50th Somerville High School Reunion weekend. All you have to do is be there.
On the Saturday morning following our evening celebration at the Bridgewater Marriott, we'll all gather on those familiar steps of our high school for yet another class photo.
From the outside, other than the building now housing the middle school, it won't look like much has changed, but once we enter those hallowed doors for a tour, you will be surprised. The current middle school principal, Georgette Boulegeris, will be our host.
She will lead us on a one-hour excursion of things you'll recognize and some jaw-dropping changes. Here is their web site - Somerville Middle School. So, be sure to join us and see first-hand if your locker is still there. Is our cramped basement cafeteria still the place to lunch? Can you still make it to history class in the west wing from English class in the old building before the bell sounds? And finally, always a well-kept secret, exactly where was the "off limits to students" faculty room and what went on there?
